Buddleja plants - commonly known as the 'Butterfly Bush' - are very easy to grow. The Buddleja varieties we have for sale will grow in all soil types, and the plants carry lots of flower. Most are completely hardy, but we do carry a couple of buddleja varieties like the lovely 'Kewensis', 'Loricata' and 'Auriculata' that will be fine in well drained warm spots, but well sheltered from freezing blasts.

To keep buddleja in good order, they can be pruned back in the spring. Once well established you can virtually take all buddleja back to the ground...there are a couple of exceptions to this rule so read up first!

Buddleja are popular plants as they are are sought after by butterflies and bees, being a good source of pollen and nectar from late June on through the summer.
