Herb seeds are, again, an economical way of producing fresh herbs for the kitchen. We do grow some herb plants later in the spring, but so many of the annual herbs are so fast and easy to grow from seed, it just is not worth our while - and much cheaper for you to grow them yourself.
All you need is a few pots, a seed tray and a bit of compost - and 'hey presto'.
A top tip is ...don't use all the seed in the packet in one go, as you would do better to repeat sowings to guarantee a progression of young plants.
