Hemerocallis (Daylily)Page 1 | 2 Hemerocallis (Daylily) are very easy to grow. They are pretty much bomb-proof, and once established will go on for years without needing much attention. Hemerocallis have the common name of 'Daylily' as the individual flowers usually last for a day - but please realise that the plants repeat flower over a long period!Once a good clump is formed even the slugs will do little damage, and Hemerocallis also have the advantage of suppressing weeds. The foliage is usually so dense nothing will grow out from under them! Plant Hemerocallis in full sun or passing shade in well drained but moist soils. Excessive fertility or shade will result in lots of foliage and little flower! FOR GENERAL INFO, AND IMPORTANT SNIPPETS - LOOK AT THE HOME PAGE!
