Ferns for the Garden

Garden ferns are particularly useful plants for those shady corners of the garden. Ferns are also used as 'fillers' at the back of a low border...or anywhere in the garden that's a bit shady and damp. Most ferns are happy with some passing sun as long as the soil is moist.

Some of the ferns are evergreen - but be aware that they will still look a bit tatty over the winter before the new fronds come through in the spring.
